It’s Pie Day!

How wonderful to see at backyard and park picnics, homemade pies with beautiful lattice crusts and they aren’t hard to put together at all. Really!

Take a look at this You Tube piece I did for Seattle Magazine last August. I’ve heard from pie makers near and far that they couldn’t believe how easy it is once they saw it done.

You are so right about Pie Day! I made three pies and a tart for desserts for our big 4th party. A black bottom, lemon chiffon, fresh strawberry and a bakewell tart. And I was thrilled with my pie crusts this time, yippee!
