It’s Always Time for Pie

It’s Always Time for Pie

I think about pie a lot. I even dream about it…new seasoning and fruit combinations or a new spin on savory pies, hand pies, or even pie fries! But today, one of my pie sisters on Facebook Pie Nation really got me thinking of beautiful and seasonal things one can do on the top of a pie. Check this out!

Is this not the most beautiful leafy pie ever? (Photo and Pie by Renee Jurgens Goerger)

The directions from creator Renee Jurgens Goerger are right here and as it is apple pie season you can bet that I’m going to be making some of these beauties right away. It’s a perfect way to crown the top of a special pie and I can’t wait to get started.

Pop it in a basket and you are good to go to your next gathering in high pie style! Here’s my favorite basket and if you are interested in getting one of your own now’s the time…well, actually any time is the time because it’s always time for pie! Right?

I honestly don’t have words for the fact that you (a master pie maker/baker) have shared my pie on your site. I’m shocked, and so very grateful! Thank you my new friend. Funny how food and it’s preparation can bring people together.

I don’t know if you realize, the image at the top of your notice of a post is not linking properly.

Isn’t it, Edwina! I’m just about ready to try it and see if I might get some similar results.

That’s a spectacular presentation for a very special pie, but at my house it’s bake and eat!
