Rolling Out Art of the Pie’s New Website!

01/31/2014 By Kate McDermott-Art of the Pie 2 Comments

Gretapie is waiting for you!New Website

You may have noticed a new look at Art of the Pie. Earlier this week, I launched my new website! I’d been thinking about it for quite some time and the time had come when I could put it off no longer.

When I seriously started teaching pie making classes in 2009, I needed a way to get the information about Art of the Pie up onto the web quickly and easily…and without tearing my hair out! The previous design of my website was made with iWeb. It’s an older Mac application that was perfect for me. But, when the folks at Apple made the decision to stop supporting the application, I noticed over time that it didn’t seem to be working as well on the backend as it once did.

So, with the encouragement and help of my tech, Mary Walker of Weaving in Beauty, I took the plunge, and here is the result! A newly designed Art of the Pie website. I hope you like it!

Take a look around. Let me know what you think. I’m open to suggestions!

P.S. Every step of the way, Gretapie was helping too!

    hi kate,
nice to find you early this morning on such a cold and bitter day here in the northwest corner of the u.s. coffee is thawing my brain and off i go…hyper now and full of ideas.
since meeting you at nash’s pie demonstration, i can not stop thinking about you and your pies. oh, & yes! crusts at my house are better and better.
i am exploring ideas about local food & classes. i would love to have you over for a glass of wine or coffee and talk a bit about the future of food here.
i hope to hear from you!
    thanks

Barbara- I’m thrilled that you are making pies! I always look forward to doing a demonstration at Nash’s. It’s one of the highlights of my year. You can reach me by email through the contact page, too. Happy Pie Making!
