I just added a workshop for Gluten-Free Pear Pie! I want to slide this one in before all the book events for Pie Camp ramp up and because many of you have been asking for more GF classes. Of course, this filling will work with a gluten-full crust too, so either whether you prefer your doughs with or without gluten, I hope you will join me.

I love making and sharing this pie and I hope you will too. Hopefully next year I will have enough pears on my own little trees to make a filling using them. This year, I have a harvest of just one but I will cherish every bite of it.

As I mentioned, things are really starting to ramp up for the virtual book tour when Pie Camp: The Skills You Need to Make Any Pie You Want is released on October 6, so this may be one of the last virtual workshops for a while. If I can sneak in another one this month or in October, I will, BUT, let me tell you, there are some very exciting things coming and, along with keeping up with the end of the summer season get ready for fall season garden chores, the chickens (I’ve gotten 6 eggs from them now!), and general daily chores and such, it’s a busy time. Sometimes I do wish that Gretapie had opposable thumbs so she could help me, but my darling dog is just perfect as she is keeping me company along the way.
