Kukbuk Comes Home

Kukbuk Comes Home

Yesterday the Kukbuk made the return journey to its home in Lilliwaup on the Hood Canal. Julie and Bob were thilled to receive it and Julie shared with me that three of her grandmother’s recipes are in it! Can you believe it? I didn’t realize that her family had had their cabin for so long. So, to celebrate, here are the three of Madge Robinson’s recipes that Julie sent me photos of so that you could see them, too.

And do stay tuned as I still will share with you a few of the more unusual recipes from its pages. 🙂

The kukbuk is home again! Thanks for the photos Julie!

I just bought a copy on eBay, I’m a sucker for community cookbooks!

Lucky! I should have looked there for another copy for me.

Email me with an address, and after I get it and read it and copy what I would like to keep, it’s yours.

What a great story. I have a cookbook that belonged to my grandmother that dates back to the early 1900’s. I treasure it; love looking at recipes and their ingredients from a historic perspective.
