    Kate,
Love your blog. Thought I’d send along a couple of pictures of how I make apple pie in my Dutch oven. My family had a pie baking contest on New Year’s Day and had a wonderful time. Lot of laughter and good pie. Daughter-in-law made buckets of home-made ice cream for everybody’s pie after the judging was done. We ate pie-ala-mode until it was coming out our ears ! Oh, by the way, I won the contest. (grin)

It’s good to hear that you did, Don! I don’t think there is quite anything like that long slow bake that a Dutch oven provides. Here’s my contribution to the pie in the Dutch oven category.
