Teaching Pie in the Virtual World
Yes, yippee, and away we go! Teaching pie in the virtual world worked! This past weekend, the first Virtual Pie Camp was broadcast live right from my kitchen counter. A big Big BIG THANK YOU to Ted and Susan Schremp, who connected me with the incredible Leah Bradley who knew WHAT I needed to do, and HOW to do it. Leah spent countless hours getting me up to speed, and I was able to present ten hours of teaching over a 3-day period to virtual pie campers from 14 states and as far away as Kuwait!
Here is the set up of my Pie Cottage Virtual Teaching Studio in both directions.
I had no idea if this truly would work but it did and I experienced not only my own joy of sharing the craft of pie making, but saw the joy reflected in the faces of the first virtual pie campers when they showed off the final bake of our weekend together. We even had a Virtual Graduation Ceremony!
So, this is a great big YES that I will be offering more Virtual Pie Camps for you! My goal is to have registration open early next week for the next Virtual Pie Camp. I learned so much in this first camp and am excited to make the next camp even better.
I’ll be sending out information on dates as soon as I’ve got it set up and ready for you to register. This is truly a whole new world, and with this new virtual platform the PIE’s the limit!
With much love and gratitude,
P.S. Stay Home, Be Happy, Make Pie!
