Look back in the last two blog entries and you’ll see it, Sophie.

I think anyone over 60 made the Mock Apple Pie – I remember making it with my kids, they were fascinated with it.

My grandmother made an orange pie and I’ve been looking for a recipe (that works!!) every since. So, this one is on my list.
Thanks for sharing these with us, Kate.

Let us all know if it is like the one you remember your grandmother making, Jean.

I well remember both the mock-apple (made with Ritz crackers) and the Angel Food Pie! Both recipes were common in the Church fundraising type of cookbooks. I would love to hear what you have to say about the pie crust recipes that use an egg…

There are lots of good pie dough recipes out there. I don’t use egg in the traditional Art of the Pie doughs but I certainly have made doughs that used egg when I went through a 2.5 year testing of what made a good dough. I say try them all until you find the one that works best for you!
